Minerals in food and drink are necessary for proper function of the heart,muscles and nerves,and to maintain optimal blood chemistry and muscle action.

Lowering Insulin by restricting carbohydrates causes our kidneys to shift from retaining water and sodium to dumping both at a faster rate. With homeostasis our clever bodies will maintain sodium blood concentration in the normal range by shrinking blood volume.

This causes;

- Fatigue

- Headaches

- Brain Fogs

- Water Retention

- Constipation

- Insommnia

- Bad Moods

- Potential Relationship Breakups (I’m NOT kidding!!!)

When our diet was high in processed food,even so called “healthy” packaged food, we were getting HEAPS of salt-now we are enjoying real whole foods we need to add more salt,plus potassium and magnesium to avoid above symptoms.

As a guide I suggest you start with;

Sodium 3-4g Daily (From added salt, bone broth, stock cubes, Miso soup) as pic.above.

Potassium 3g Daily from Lite Salt and food sources below.

Magnesium Citrate Powder 400mg-I use this one but there are many brands available...if it upsets your tummy change to a Magnesium Glycinate.
